I get that it can look like fun to roar around on dirt roads in the mud, but its very harmful to our fragile landscape and severely affects the plants and animals. It also impacts us humans who just want to walk quietly on the land. Please choose hiking, or biking as a way to explore instead.
This is a very contentious issue in Sedona and if you want to make friends/get to know locals riding ATVS will not accomplish those goals.. some people who live near ATV trail heads( like at Bear Mountain and Broken Arrow) have them constantly roaring by all day and it has severely impacted their homes and quality of life.
