I am going to do my best to clarify this here, as it seems to cause some confusion and a number of calls from people who mistakenly think that free camping advice comes FREE.
Lets start with an important side question-Can we camp free in Sedona without your advice?
YES! You certainly can. You can find sources online that give you the free camping areas. This advice will be very general and not include the best view spots. If you are on a strict budget and are ok with an OK spot, not a great one, maybe this is an option for you.
Why do you charge for info on free camping?
I have been a guide in Sedona for 25 years. I have walked and driven and searched out the best free campsites in the area for my booked campers. I know the hidden sites, I know the ones you can hike to, I know the ones driving a little further and turning left at the secret rock cairn will get you to epic night views. I know where there are sites that get lots of UFO sightings, even where they shot a documentary on UFOs you can watch. I know where you can be alone on Oak Creek and where you can let your well behaved dog run free.
I have hiked 150 of the trails and customize my trail recommendations. Want world class epic, or to be alone on the trail or to find secret Indian ruins? I know which trails and trailheads to avoid when its busy. I know what to tell you to bring to be prepared so you can enjoy your adventure. I know how to tell you to optimize your trip planning and timing on arrival.
This service is a consultation. It is not free. It took time, experience and energy to build the knowledge and resources I share. Thanks for your understanding.
